Acccording to the US Department of Education, there is going to be a 14% increase in the number of STEM jobs by 2020. Because it is a career field that designs, formulates, and understands the base for all other knowledge and forms of innovation, it is not surprising that more jobs in STEM are going to be available in the near future. This is why students need to have access to STEM Education and be shown what wonders it can do; quite literally, an education in STEM can alter society as we know it.
Only 16% of American high school seniors are proficient in math and science and want to pursue a career in STEM. At BETA, we make sure that 100% of graduates are capable in areas of math and science necessary to succeed as a member of society. We offer Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and Dual-Enrollment courses in both areas, and our coursework is rigorous beyond state and national standards. From Algebra I to AP Calculus AB and from Pre-AP Biology to IB Physics Higher Level, there is no shortage of opportunities for BETA students to succeed in STEM in high school, in college, and in the field as professionals.
